Guess What??

The Stork Is On It's Way!!

So, I was supposed to post this back in early January! So this is what I would have said if I had done what I meant to:-)

We've been hoping the stork would make an appearance for a few months now, and we couldn't be happier we are pregnant with baby #4. We can't wait to find out whether we will have a boy or girl next and are so excited to complete our family!!

Christmas Day 2008!

The kids could hardly wait for Christmas to come this year! They woke us up around 7 a.m. or so and we got up and called Momo and Papa to come downstairs so we could start opening presents. I think everyone enjoyed their gifts and had fun opening up their suprises and watching eachother's reactions! Here's a few photos from our morning. We hope you all had a Christmas to remember and felt the love of our Savior throughout the season.
We had a rainbow in our backyard!
Our Marsh cousins came over that evening to have dinner with us and exchange a few gifts. It was so much fun and we love being close enough to get together often with them!

Ward Christmas Party~December 2008

I forget the date of our Ward Christmas Party, but wanted to be sure and remember this fun night. When we got there, first and foremost we stopped in and see Santa Claus who was there for a quick visit. The kids all told Santa what they wanted for Christmas. Drex said he wanted a quad and a helmet. (Unfortunatly our kids are already asking for expensive gifts!) Quin also asked Santa for a quad and a helmet. (Being the younger brother he wants to be just like Drex!!) Then Libby got up there and just bawled!! As you can see she didn't want to get that close to Santa Claus and was definately not going to talk to him!! Drex and Quin both played a part in the Nativity Story. Drex was Joseph and Quin was one of the wise men. They did such a great job and were so happy to get to take part in it! The cutest part was that Mary was played by his friend, Emily who he calls his 'girlfriend.' He has a little crush on her, and she on him. Nothing too serious, just who he says he's gonna marry!! There's our little Joseph and wise man!

We got Snow!! 12-17-08

December 17th we had our first snow of the season! It was amazing and unexpected! We woke up to find the snow falling and immediately we all wanted to go out and play in it. We loaded up the truck and went to target to get the needed snow gear for the kids that we didn't have. Drex & Lib needed boots cuz they'd outgrown theirs, and Libby also needed a snow bib and gloves. We couldn't find a bib for Lib that day, but by the next day I'd found her one. After we got back from target we got snowed in and couldn't get out till the sun started melting the snow the next afternoon. That was okay with us though, we spent the rest of the day building a snowman, throwing snowballs, eating snowcones, and sledding & snowboarding down the little hill by our house. We loved it!! I forget how many inches we got...at least 7 I think!

Here's the house right after we'd woken up

Libby and I--she refused to put on gloves initially, but soon decided it was probably a good idea.
Showing us her snowy fingers
We all loved eating the snow, especially Quin!
The kids had never been on a snowboard, but quickly went from sledding on it to strapping in and riding it down! I was so suprised, they had no fear about it!!

It's a good day!
Here's some footage of Drex snowboarding

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

It's Christmas Eve, the kids are in bed, and Charlie and Papa are putting together a playhouse for the kids for Christmas. We are all really excited around here! Everything is wrapped and it's time for bed! I just wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas! Have Fun & Be Safe!!

Here are a few photos my friend Melanie so graciously took for us (Thanks, Melanie!) that I wanted to post. I love my family so much and am so grateful to have such wonderful children, and an amazing husband. God is so good to us. PS. I don't know why you can't blow these photos up when you click on them. If any of you know why this happens, please let me know...it drives me crazy!

Happy Halloween!

Our city was doing a fundraiser hosted by the police and fire departments for Halloween so we thought it would be fun to join in on the fun for a good cause. We knew our friends, the Stokes, would be there since their dad/husband is an officer and was going to be in charge of the haunted house. We had a great time participating in all the game booths and won way too much candy. The kids took part in a costume contest, (nope, didn't win), and we went through the haunted house while our friends watched the kids. We stayed quite awhile and by the time we went to go trick-or-treating it was after 8:30 p.m. so we only went to a handful of houses and called it a night. I would say we had a very Happy Halloween, and we hope you did too!!

Halloween Eve

The day before Halloween was probably even more fun than Halloween. It began with the boys' preschool Halloween party. They got dressed up in their costumes, Drex a chicken and Quin, spiderman, and went to school with enough candy to pass out to everyone for their exchange and some fingerfoods to share for the potluck they were doing. They brought coffin shaped ham & cheese sandwiches and breadsticks that they helped me shape into bones...very spooky! They loved it and had a fun day there! They were even more excited for the fun after class because they knew their Marsh cousins were going to be there when they got home!! We hadn't gotten together for over 2 months so the kids (okay, and me too!) were anxious to see them! Our ward Halloween party was that night and they were able to stay and go to that with us, so the kids brought their costumes along. We spent the day making vampire cupcakes to bring to the ward party later, and carving pumpkins. Except instead of carving them all, we decided we'd do something different for each one! So this is how they turned out:Here's the boys after preschool with their friends Andon & EmilyMaryJane's Raggedy Ann costume from a few years back fit Liberty perfectly and looked absolutely adorable on her! She started posing for me after she got dressed!
Charlie had this great idea that he and the boys could dress up like Papa (his dad) for the church party. Everybody there knew who they were supposed to be right away, it was hilarious!Happy Halloween! Some of the cupcakes we made that dayDrex with his gal-pal Emily; those are goldfish Drex is holding, they had this game there where you could win fish, every kid was in that line!!
Drex's other favorite gal-pal: cousin MJ, she's so happy she won a fish of her own!Cute cousins Chloe & Ellie Rachel & Ren: I think she's pondering what to do with all the new pets they've just acquired. I think they went home with at least 8 goldfish.
