May Disneyland Day

So we got to go to Disneyland... Charlie & I all alone! It was really fun, and once again my wonderful big sis Rachel took our kids for the day so we could go out, she is the best! Unfortunately the day was cloudy, chilly and wet but we went anyway and had a blast. Here are some photos from the day, The first was taken at Rachel's house before we left. And you'll notice my hair keeps getting frizzier & frizzier as you go down. During the roller coaster we could hardly open our eyes cuz the rain was flying at our faces and hitting us in the eyes, it kinda hurt! When we got off I had racoon eyes and I had to go fix myself in the mirror, it was fun though, sometimes it's nice to get wet and play in the rain! Thanks again Rach, love you!

The Hubby Tag

So I got the tag over a month ago...sorry it took so long Cam! Here's the info on my dear Charlie. Here we go:

5. Who said "I love you" first? He did, he tried to hide it by saying it in Portuguese.

6. Who is taller? Charlie's 5 inches taller.

7. Who is smarter? Depends on the subject...I'll leave that at that!

8. Who does the laundry? Mostly me.

9. Who does the dishes? We both do, he's a great help with that.

10. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? If you're looking at the bed I sleep on the right side.

11. Who pays the bills? We both do.

12. Who mows the lawn? Lucky for Charlie, nobody has to out here in the desert, we don't have a lawn!

13. Who cooks dinner? I am the lucky one who gets this chore.

14. Who is more stubborn? Pretty equal.

15. Who kissed who first? I kissed him first.

16. Who asked who out? He asked me out.

Now I tag Melanie, and whoever else wants to do it!!

Libby Lou

This blog is about our little Liberty. She's almost 2 going on 16. I can't believe how fast she's growing. She is such a beautiful little girl, very independent, yet dependant on me. She seems to be a mama's girl lately, wanting me to hold her and follow her around the house wherever she goes. There's rarely a meal that goes by that she's not plopped on my lap eating my food with me. She's starting to talk alot and seems to learn new words daily. She loves to play with her brothers and do everything their doing and have the same stuff they have. Although at times a tomboy, she's still very girly. Her favorite thing lately seems to be trying on 3 or more outfits and pairs of shoes daily, and picking them all out all by herself! Here are some recent pictures of her:

Her first braid; I know I'm not that great at it...yet. Of course it doesn't help when she keeps moving the whole time!
Her first toe-nail painting session
Her first time to try and use the potty; nope, no luck yet! P.S. she dressed herself here!

My Sweet Drex

Last Sunday Drex was ready and excited to get up in Primary and give the Scripture & Closing Prayer. I went up there with him so I could help him and whisper to him as needed. When he got up there he just froze. After a few tries I could see it wasn't going to happen this time so I said the scripture and prayer for him. Later when we were at home talking on my bed I asked Drex what happened. I said, "Drex, what happened today when you were supposed to give the scripture and prayer? I thought you wanted to do it." He thought about it for a minute. I said, "Huh, what happened?" He meekly replied, "My voice just disappeared." I thought that was the sweetest response! Sometimes I am amazed at the things my children say.

Spring Break 2008 Part 2

This is our 4th (my 5th) time to be lucky enough to get to go to the one of the most beautiful places on earth...Glenbrook, Nevada on Lake Tahoe. I love this place, the setting is so peaceful & relaxing and the scenery is just breathtaking. When I'm there I feel like I'm in a fairytale land. Rebecca & Greg were kind enough to be our hosts for the second year in a row at Greg's mom's gorgeous cottage home there. We had so much fun being together. We excercised more than I've ever excercised in my life in a matter of 4.5 days...a minimum of 3x a day, doing some videos, lifting weights, and taking brisk walks...we promised mom we wouldn't let her go a day without exercise and we didn't! We played board games and lots of cards-Rebecca taught us how to play Hearts. Greg & I made sure we all had our daily dose of sugar by making oatmeal chocolate chip cookies every night...they were amazing! The week started out really cold with snow still on the ground, so Charlie and the kids made a little snow fort/tunnel outside by the house. One day Greg, Charlie & I took a hike in the snow up to Shakepeare Mountain but I don't have those pics. yet...I'll post them when I get them...it was gorgeous up on the mountain and so funny freaking ourselves out about the possiblity of running into a bear. The kids had a blast playing together and having fun w/ all the toys Grandma brought for them too (see pics. below). Everything about it was positive, we just had a wonderful time and can't wait to go again! Thankyou Rebecca & Greg for having us, we had so much fun and loved spending time with you, we miss living so close and seeing you often. Here are some of the photos we took:

Spring Break 2008 Part 1

Hey all, I'm back after a lull in blogging. Let's just say I'm not that great at this. Anyways, we have been extremely busy...but as usual we can always find the time to play a little bit. Here we are on our spring break vaca. to Jed & Becky's in Northern Cali. Rach & mom drove together & we met up with them a day later. We spent Monday, April 7th @ Fisherman's Wharf/Pier 39 in San Francisco. We had the traditional clam chowder bowl for lunch which was as fabulous as ever, and walked around all the shops down there. It was a beautiful sun shiny day, but it was pretty cold and the strong winds weren't helping on our photo shoots. After a day at the bay we went back to the house and had my favorite meal (Chipotle) for dinner, and stayed up for awhile catching up. Unfortunately our stay there was short & sweet, due to some unexpected circumstances Jed & Becky weren't able to join us for the rest of the trip a few hours away in Lake Tahoe with Rebecca & Greg's family. We left the next afternoon for the remainder of the week. Thanks Jed, Becky & Trey, you guys were awesome hosts (as always), we had a wonderful time with you guys, we loved seeing you and appreciated the great hospitality. Here are a few pictures from our time there...
