Broadbent Reunion 2008 - Road Trip to Missouri

Our Broadbent family had our first official reunion this summer! We all met up in Washington, Missouri for 10 days of family togetherness, which were packed full of fun activities. Our family and Rachel's family (my sister) decided to rent a van and drive across the country together. Her husband wasn't able to go and we really missed him, but lucky for us we get to see him pretty often since we live so close to them! The drive was 1777 miles each way because we stopped to sleep at our grandparent's house...so total about 26 hours each way. It was INSANE...next time I believe we will be flying! The kids were really pretty good and we were blessed not to have any troubles along the way. When we got to our destination we rested up and jumped right into the plans for the week. We had so much fun, loved every minute of it, and wished we could've stayed even longer! Thanks to all our MO family for all the planning and efforts you put into making this reunion a success! Here are some photos from our adventure and most of the activities we did while we were there...Enjoy!

Here's our rental van...pretty sweet eh?
Here's grandma & grandpa's home...we love it there!
Our dear sweet Grandpa Jess & Grandma Helen...we love you, thank you for your love and hospitality, it was so good to see you both.
We saw some beautiful skies and some beautiful land
Here's another beauty
It was raining as we were getting close to St. Johns
Here's a view from inside the van!
The babies were good sports...most of the time!
We also saw some really unique vehicles on our road trip, here are a few samples:

How fun! It takes us 26 hours to drive to Arizona from Georgia. We flew the next time after we drove too!
